The Thapelo Institute, Inc., a not-for-profit organization promoting health and fitness for African and African-American Men held a meeting for local barbers at the Negro League Cafe on the south side of Chicago. The event exposed barbers to Project Cooperate and trained them to present a short video on prostate cancer to their customers. The customers then take a short survey to determine if their knowledge of prostate cancer has increased. The goal is to make African and African American Men aware of their increased risk of prostate cancer.

The Negro League Cafe, 301 East 43rd Street, Chicago, Il. Fifty plus barbers from all areas of Chicago participated in prostate cancer training.
